Coromega Prenatal Omegababy High DHA Omega-3

Does Coromega Prenatal Omegababy High DHA Omega-3 contain all of your necessary vitamins and minerals?

No, this product is not meant to be taken as a prenatal multivitamin. It is a prenatal supplement that contains DHA, an omega-3 fatty acid that can help a baby’s brain and eyes develop.

Does Coromega Prenatal Omegababy High DHA Omega-3 use the safest ingredients?

This prenatal supplement contains safflower oil, fish oil, water, ascorbic acid, natural peach flavor, pasteurized egg yolk, sodium ascorbate, stevia leaf extract, vegetable oil, citric acid, potassium sorbet, sodium benzoate, natural mixed tocopherols, xanthan gum, and menthol. While these ingredients are not particularly dangerous, it should be noted that one dose (2 packets) contains 40 calories, 4g of fat, 20mg of cholesterol, as well as 16mg of stevia leaf extract. Stevia leaf extract is a sweetener that is banned in several countries. Its use is legal in the United States but there are some inconclusive studies that suggest that it could be toxic. You should consult your doctor before beginning Coromega Prenatal Omegababy High DHA Omega-3 or any other dietary supplement.

Does Coromega Prenatal Omegababy High DHA Omega-3 contain high-end ingredients?

This supplement does contain 300mg of DHA, an integral ingredient of prenatal health. However, if you decide to purchase this product, you should be aware that you still need to be taking another prenatal vitamin. This product does NOT contain probiotics, CoQ10, ginger, vitamin B6, vitamin D3, choline, inositol, or vitamin A. If you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or nursing, it is essential that you get ALL of these vitamins and minerals.

Final Thoughts?

Coromega Prenatal Omegababy High DHA Omega-3 claims to taste great and to be easy on sensitive stomachs. If you have trouble swallowing pills with DHA because of the flavor, then by all means, give Coromega’s product a chance. Just be sure that you are still taking a prenatal vitamin that provides all of the other ingredients that you and your baby need to stay healthy.
That being said, in my opinion, Coromega does not offer you the best value or the best product. Although each box contains 30 packets, a pregnant woman needs to consume two packets a day to get the full dose of DHA. In other words, one box only provides 15 days of supplements. At $24.99 a box, you would have to spend $50 a month on this product to get enough DHA – and remember – this product only gives you ONE of the nutrients you need during pregnancy.
Personally, I prefer taking ONE prenatal vitamin that provides me with ALL of the things that I need. If you are having problems getting enough DHA, then Coromega’s supplement might be right for you. If not, you might want to check out Trimedisyn – a top-rated prenatal vitamin that gives you everything you need in one capsule.

Best Prenatal Vitamin

After doing some research and taking as many as 6 different types of prenatal vitamins, I found a prenatal vitamin that works well for me, its called Prenatalgyn. Prenatalgyn contains all the essential ingredients, that recent research has found to be supportive for a healthy pregnancy. On top of all this many professionals and consumers have written and stated great things about this product.

Prenatalgyn Prenatal Vitamin is simply amazing. It only took a few days of taking Prenatalgyn and I could feel a noticeable difference. I suffer from extreme morning sickness (Hyperemesis gravidarum) and the ginger in Prenatalgyn significantly improved my morning sickness, this was a huge blessing (if you've ever had morning sickness you know what I mean!). I was able to swallow the capsules easily. I also seemed to have a better appetite, and it included all of the most important ingredients at the right amounts. Prenatalgyn does not contain any artificial colors, preservatives, or hydrogenated oils which are not good to have. I would highly recommend Prenatalgyn if you're pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
