New Chapter Organic Perfect Prenatal

Does New Chapter Organic Perfect Prenatal contain all of your necessary vitamins and minerals?

This question is a little tricky to answer. This prenatal is a whole-food multi-vitamin, and contains 23 organic, cultured, whole food ingredients. This all sounds excellent, so let’s break it down a little further. When it comes to the three major building blocks of a prenatal vitamin: folic acid, calcium, and iron, New Chapter offers 600mcg of folic acid, 75mg of calcium, and 18mg of iron. These aren’t bad numbers, although I would have liked to see more calcium. Check out our information here http://bestprenatalvitamins.org/calcium-and-vitamin-d3-supplementation-during-pregnancy to read more about how important it is to get plenty of calcium during pregnancy.

In addition to the “big three” of folic acid, calcium, and iron, New Chapter Organic Perfect Prenatal also contains vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin D3, vitamin E, vitamin K1, vitamin K2, thiamin-vitamin B1, riboflavin-vitamin B2, niacin, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, biotin, pantothenic acid, iodine, magnesium, zinc, selenium, copper, manganese, chromium, molybdenum, mixed carotenoids, and several all-natural blends: the prenatal herbal blend, made of organic grains, fruits, flowers, and herbs, and the breast support blend, made of sprouted seeds.

Does New Chapter Organic Perfect Prenatal use the safest ingredients?

This prenatal vitamin is 100% vegetarian, gluten-free, and contains no artificial flavors or colors. Moms-to-be should note that this prenatal does contain fermented soy.

Does New Chapter Organic Perfect Prenatal Contain high-end ingredients?

After such a lengthy list of ingredients, I expected New Chapter to have more high-end ingredients. In terms of probiotics, this prenatal stands proud. Included in the “prenatal herbal blend,”are probiotics that can help reduce the rate of childhood obesity, as well as help you maintain a healthy weight during and after pregnancy. While the inclusion of probiotics puts this prenatal vitamin into an above-average range, unfortunately its list of high-end ingredients stops there. To its discredit, this vitamin fails to produce any DHA, CoQ10, ginger, choline, or inositol.

Final Thoughts

In my opinion, New Chapter Organic Perfect Prenatal runs a good race and then falls flat at the finish line. From the starting gate, New Chapter puts together an impressive list of ingredients and manages to stay away from the pitfalls of artificial flavors and colors, maintaining a clean record of a product that is vegetarian and gluten-free. Perhaps the first time we can see this product stumble is in its decision to place all these powerfully nutritious ingredients into a compacted tablet form. Although tablets are cheaper to manufacture (and thus keep the total price lower), they are much harder for your body to break down, and delay your body’s ability to absorb all those healthy treats. New Chapter gets a second wind with its herbal blend that includes a veritable garden of all-natural plants, and most importantly, probiotics. In the end though, this prenatal vitamin can’t compete with other, better equipped prenatal vitamins. With a quiet whimper, New Chapter Organic Perfect Prenatal is relegated to the dusty shelf of mediocre prenatal vitamins by its own failure to include more high-end ingredients.

Best Prenatal Vitamin

After doing some research and taking as many as 6 different types of prenatal vitamins, I found a prenatal vitamin that works well for me, its called Trimedisyn. Trymedisyn contains all the essential ingredients, that recent research has found to be supportive for a healthy pregnancy. On top of all this many professionals and consumers have written and stated great things about this product.

Trimedisyn Prenatal Vitamin is simply amazing. It only took a few days of taking Trimedisyn and I could feel a noticeable difference. I suffer from extreme morning sickness (Hyperemesis gravidarum) and the ginger in Trimedisyn significantly improved my morning sickness, this was a huge blessing (if you've ever had morning sickness you know what I mean!). I was able to swallow the capsules easily. I also seemed to have a better appetite, and it included all of the most important ingredients at the right amounts. Trimedisyn does not contain any artificial colors, preservatives, or hydrogenated oils which are not good to have. I would highly recommend Trimedisyn if you're pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
