VitaMed MD 300mg Prenatal DHA

Does VitaMed MD 300 mg Prenatal DHA contain all of your necessary vitamins and minerals?

You will not find a single vitamin or mineral in VitaMed MD 300 mg Prenatal DHA. Sometimes a prenatal vitamin, with the purpose of giving you lots of DHA, will include some Vitamin E and maybe a mineral. But VitaMed MD 300 mg Prenatal DHA doesn’t include anything beneficial except for the DHA.

You have to supplement your diet with an additional prenatal vitamin if you decide to take VitaMed MD 300 mg Prenatal DHA. To create less hassle and save some time (and maybe even money), think about taking Trimedisyn, which is chock full of vitamins and minerals, as well as DHA and other beneficial high-end ingredients.

Does VitaMed MD 300 mg Prenatal DHA use the safest ingredients?

The DHA found in VitaMed MD 300 mg Prenatal DHA is both Kosher and Vegan certified. Obviously, then, if you are Vegan or even vegetarian, you will find VitaMed MD 300 mg Prenatal DHA as safe as can be. I would be concerned, though, about the benefit of taking plant-based DHA. In doing some research, it seems like the plant-based DHA is not as potent as the fish-based DHA. Also, it might not even be beneficial for brain development in your infant. So, clearly, if the research is correct, you aren’t getting much of a benefit at all from taking VitaMed MD 300 mg Prenatal DHA.

Does VitaMed MD 300 mg Prenatal DHA contain high-end ingredients?

You would be golden if you found a prenatal vitamin with all nine of these high-end ingredients: Probiotics, CoQ10, Ginger, Vitamin B6, Vitamin D3, Choline, Inositol, DHA, and Vitamin A. It’s a shame, then, that VitaMed MD 300 mg Prenatal DHA only gives you the DHA.

You only need to get between 50 and 200 mg of DHA, or Docosahexaenoic Acid daily while pregnant. By taking VitaMed MD 300 mg Prenatal DHA, you are getting plenty of DHA at 300 mg. DHA is useful for a variety of reasons. First and foremost, it is important for the proper development of your baby’s eyes and brain. Therefore, it would be expected that if you get enough DHA while pregnant, your baby should be able to grasp learning concepts and retain information much better while it is growing up. Another great reason to get enough DHA in your diet is for the prevention of cardiovascular disease as well as keeping your bad cholesterol down.

Adults have DHA in their brains, but your developing baby must get that source from your diet. It really puts a lot of pressure on you, but I think I’d rather have the pressure of giving my baby enough DHA, than worrying about whether it will make it through life like a normal person.

Final Thoughts

If you can help it, look for a prenatal vitamin that gives you DHA and other important nutrients. It will not be cost effective to purchase two separate prenatal vitamins just because the one is missing DHA and the other one has plenty of it. Think ahead and don’t spring at the first prenatal vitamin that crosses your path. Do your research so that you know what is in your prenatal vitamin.

Best Prenatal Vitamin

After doing some research and taking as many as 6 different types of prenatal vitamins, I found a prenatal vitamin that works well for me, its called Trimedisyn. Trymedisyn contains all the essential ingredients, that recent research has found to be supportive for a healthy pregnancy. On top of all this many professionals and consumers have written and stated great things about this product.

Trimedisyn Prenatal Vitamin is simply amazing. It only took a few days of taking Trimedisyn and I could feel a noticeable difference. I suffer from extreme morning sickness (Hyperemesis gravidarum) and the ginger in Trimedisyn significantly improved my morning sickness, this was a huge blessing (if you've ever had morning sickness you know what I mean!). I was able to swallow the capsules easily. I also seemed to have a better appetite, and it included all of the most important ingredients at the right amounts. Trimedisyn does not contain any artificial colors, preservatives, or hydrogenated oils which are not good to have. I would highly recommend Trimedisyn if you're pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
