Do Vitafol Ob-Caplets contain all of your necessary vitamins and minerals?
On a very basic level, Vitafol Ob-Caplets do provide the bare minimum of what a prenatal vitamin should contain. What exactly does that mean? Well, the three most important ingredients in a prenatal vitamin are folic acid, iron, and calcium. Any vitamin that calls itself a prenatal probably contains these three, and Vitafol Ob-Caplets are no different. However, it is important to check the content of these three ingredients, and in Vitafol’s case, the calcium is very low. Since pregnancy is one of the most crucial times to get sufficient calcium, I always look for a prenatal vitamin that contains at least 750mg of calcium, and these Ob-Caplets contain far less than that.
Although Vitafol Ob-Caplets contain many of the necessary vitamins and minerals that you need, they have missed a few key ingredients. We’ll talk about that in a moment.
Do Vitafol Ob-Caplets use the safest ingredients?
Vitafol Ob-Caplets are prescription prenatal vitamins. They don’t contain anything particularly dangerous, but of course you need to speak with your doctor before beginning to take them.
Do Vitafol Ob-Caplets contain high-end ingredients?
There are six ingredients that I consider to be high-end. They are probiotics, DHA, CoQ10, inositol, choline, and ginger root. Unfortunately, Vitafol Ob-Caplets do not contain any of them. In this day and age, with as much medical and scientific research that has been done on prenatal vitamins and pregnancies, it’s hard for me to believe that there are still prenatal vitamins that do not contain any of these newly researched ingredients.
In my opinion, Vitafol Ob-Caplets are not particularly remarkable. Although they contain folic acid, iron, and calcium, as well as a few other vitamins and nutrients, they do not stand out as prenatal vitamins that are memorable to me, and I don’t feel inclined to comment on them apart to say that they are, at best, a mediocre prenatal vitamin. I encourage you to continue looking for a prenatal vitamin that can offer you the most benefits for you and for your unborn child.
Best Prenatal VitaminAfter doing some research and taking as many as 6 different types of prenatal vitamins, I found a prenatal vitamin that works well for me, its called Prenatalgyn. Prenatalgyn contains all the essential ingredients, that recent research has found to be supportive for a healthy pregnancy. On top of all this many professionals and consumers have written and stated great things about this product.
Prenatalgyn Prenatal Vitamin is simply amazing. It only took a few days of taking Prenatalgyn and I could feel a noticeable difference. I suffer from extreme morning sickness (Hyperemesis gravidarum) and the ginger in Prenatalgyn significantly improved my morning sickness, this was a huge blessing (if you've ever had morning sickness you know what I mean!). I was able to swallow the capsules easily. I also seemed to have a better appetite, and it included all of the most important ingredients at the right amounts. Prenatalgyn does not contain any artificial colors, preservatives, or hydrogenated oils which are not good to have. I would highly recommend Prenatalgyn if you're pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
